My learning journey

As part of my organizational behavior class, participants are encouraged to learn about themselves, groups, and systems/organizations over the course of the semester.

There are many to learn about oneself. One approach that participants explore in the class are different assessments that have been designed to provide information oneself as a basis for learning and reflection. I have personally found it useful to explore my personal strengths and values as a starting point (and use this in my coaching practice). One thing that I learned about myself through this process of assessing and reflecting on my personal strengths and values was the importance that learning and creativity/curiosity have for me.

Basically, I love to learn. And I have been very fortunate to be able to pursue my own personal interests to direct much of my learning journey. But even when I would not have chosen to learn what I did based upon my personal interests/preferences (which is true for life as well as educational curriculums), I think I have been able to learn something about myself through these experiences (if not so much about the content that I was supposed to be learning, especially over time after the deadline for a test had passed :)

This blog is mostly for my own reflection and as a partial journal with notes on my current learning path and process. I think of it as a series of breadcrumbs to help me go back to something I found particularly interesting or helpful (that would otherwise be buried in my journals and email links). I hope that it may also, in some form or fashion
